New Bird for the Ugandan list. May 13th 2018 at Murchison Falls National park Uganda in the Queens track. The greyish Kestrel looking bird was perched on top of the bushes and I became very keen to observe it from close quarters. As soon as I drove closer, it flew away flashing a grey rump with a spread banded tail. I quickly confirmed the unusual behaviour flying from one bush to another while catching insects. I alerted my clients that was a possibility that were looking at a new bird for Uganda the Dickinson’s Kestrel (Falco dickinsoni). There are chances that this is the first record of the country.
